¿En qué consiste la campaña “Prevención del Cáncer Oral"?
Una herramienta útil, dirigida a todos, con la finalidad de ayudarles a prevenir el cáncer oral.
La campaña va dirigida, en un lenguaje sencillo, al público general. Se sabe que entre el 70-75% de los casos de cáncer oral se diagnostican tarde, lo que complica el tratamiento y empeora el pronóstico. Por eso, conocer pautas básicas de autodiagnóstico así como los signos de alarma, máxime en aquellos con factores de riesgo, es de vital importancia.
Por otra parte, también va dirigida a los dentistas, cirujanos orales y maxilofaciales, porque ellos son los que se encuentran en la primera línea del diagnóstico y del tratamiento.
Entre unos y otros, vigilando, acudiendo a consulta y actuando rápidamente, podemos combatir el cáncer oral y sus consecuencias.
Entre el 4 de noviembre y el 5 de diciembre, clínicas dentales de toda España realizarán revisiones dentales gratuitas a todas las personas mayores de 45 años que lo soliciten.
